If there was one story that you should show to people as to how much trouble one’s mouth, alcohol and ego can get them into, this might be it.

Over the weekend, John Boyett, rookie Indianapolis Colts safety,  was having a little too much fun. Well, that fun led to his arrest and the loss of his job.

According to a police report obtained by The Indianapolis Star, Boyett was barred from downtown nightclub, Tiki Bob’s, due to being abusive towards employees. He continued to be belligerent and a problem until employees flagged down police officers. Boyett, who had left the scene just before officers arrived,  then fled on foot through four streets downtown Indianapolis, eventually being caught and having to be held down by four officers.

On multiple occasions, he stated, “You can’t arrest me, I’m a Colts player” to the arresting officers, also adding that he would break one officer’s jaw.

Today, the Indianapolis Colts waived Boyett, leaving him without a job while he is being held in the Marion County Jail. There hasn’t been word of a possible bail hearing as of yet.
