TMZ broke the story that Flavor Flavs Chicken & Ribs was hit with eviction papers last month because the landlords say the restaurant hasn’t paid rent since 2012.
The people behind Flavor Flav’s chicken joint claim they have a dag on good reason for not paying rent as the place had a faulty heater that was leaking carbon monoxide into the restaurant endangering the lives of everyone inside the building. ( I wonder if they closed the doors because of this.)
No need to worry as Flav’s partners have filed a lawsuit against the landlord saying they had a duty to fix the problem but failed causing them to temp close its doors. (whew)
The doors have since been re-opened and so far no deaths have been reported.
According to TMZ.com the team is suing the landlords for more than $25K in lost business and other damages.
