On the latest episode of “R&B Divas” the drama with the divas reached new heights! After an emotional performance last week, you would think the ladies could come together, put their differences aside and realize that life was too short for all the arguing and bickering, right? Wrong!
Their ring leader, Faith Evans, was leaving them to go back to L.A to be with her children and with Faith gone, the girls wondered who would keep the peace around Atlanta? Meanwhile, Syleena and Nicci were still at each others necks while Monifah and Angie attempt to bring the girls together AGAIN for more tour talk. Will they ever get the tour off the ground?
Faith Evans’ whole family was living in Los Angeles so it was tough on her to live in Atlanta with the divas while her children were across the country. She decided that the best thing for her to do was leave the girls in Atlanta and be with her teenagers in California. Of course, this was tough on all of the ladies, including Faith, but she knew her children are her top priority. Of course, the ladies had a farewell dinner for Faith which was very emotional for everyone in the room.
Since Faith took on the “mother” role in the group, they wondered who would be the one to keep the peace now! That’s where Ms. Angie Stone stepped in and assumed Faith’s position. Since Angie was the oldest and most “seasoned” in the music business, it only made sense that she should take on the role as the group’s leader however, with her history of starting arguments and talking down on the other girls, I’m not sure how long it will be until there is more trouble in paradise.
Syleena and Nicci were back at each others throats again, this time over Syleena’s workout video. Nicci refused to sign the release form that would allow her appearance in Syleena’s video and Syleena couldn’t release the video without Nicci’s signature! Syleena was furious! Not only was Nicci holding up the release date of the work out video but she was also messing with Syleena’s money. Syleena met with her lawyer to figure out her options and realized that she was out of luck without Nicci’s signature. Her only option would be to either re-shoot the video without Nicci or try to edit Nicci out of the video all together!
Angie was still attempting to get the ladies on board for the tour and invited everyone for a peace talk. Clutch your pears, ladies, because in typical reality television show fashion whenever a group of bickering ladies meet for a “peace talk”, either water glasses are thrown, wigs are snatched or someone is left being escorted out of the room! With that being said, all of the girls met over dinner except for Keke who really didn’t need to attend anyway since she made it very clear earlier in the episode that she didn’t want to tour with the ladies saying, “that’s just a big old hamper of dirty stank. I don’t want to jump in that basket.”
The tension was high in the room especially between Nicci and Syleena until finally Nicci broke the silence and confronted Syleena about her sister’s shady business from last week’s episode. Nicci continued to provoke Syleena, but Syleena continued to keep her cool and refused to fight until she eventually walked out of the restaurant without breaking a sweat or a nail.
