If you’ve ever taken a ride on the love train, then you know what a great experience it can be. If you’re in the Dallas area this weekend, you can book a ticket for the official “Love Train” concert, featuring the old school soul sounds of Chaka Khan, Eddie Levert, Men of Soul featuring Jeffrey Osborne, Howard Hewett and Peabo Bryson and the Masters of Funk, which includes Con Funk Shun, Slave, the Bar-Kays, The Dazz Band and Sugarfoot’s Ohio Players.
The show, sponsored by Dallas’ Old School 94.5 station, takes place this Friday at the American Airlines Center. Doors open at 6 p.m., and you can purchase tickets via www.ticketmaster.com. Given the recent passing of superstar Whitney Houston, you can expect that one or all of the performers will pay tribute to her legacy and memory.
