There are more than 130 registered student organizations at Florida A&M University in Tallahassee, Florida, but none of the clubs will be taking in new members this spring and fall.

FAMU President James Ammons announced on Tuesday that membership intake for all student organizations, sororities and fraternities is cancelled, and the summer band camp also is cancelled. The move comes in response to the fatal hazing of a drum major in November, and the continued revelation of a culture of hazing in campus organizations ranging from the band to modeling groups.
