Wine & Dine Wednesday event poster with "The Black Out Edition" text, hosted by Karen Vaughn with music by DJ King on July 15, 2026 from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM at 475 Pennsylvania Street, Indianapolis.

Actresses Halle Berry, Rashida Jones and Yaya DaCosta were snubbed of receiving nominations for a Screen Actors Guild Award. Rashida Jones (daughter of Quincy Jones and “The Office” fame) was not recognized for her role in the amazing ensemble cast of this year’s “The Social Network” (aka “The Facebook Movie”). Nor was Yaya DaCosta (of “America’s Next Top Model” fame) for her scene-stealing role in “The Kids Are All Right.”

The movies were nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture, but the ladies were not – meaning that if their film wins, the rest of the cast will get an award, but not Jones or DaCosta.

And though Halle recently received a Golden Globe nod for her role in “Frankie and Alice,” she was left off the list of nominations for the 17th SAG Awards.

Find out what the Film Experience’s Nathaniel Rogers had to say about DaCosta’s omission here.
