After spotting this message on Twitter via one of Wyclef’s handles – @AFACeAFACe: “Information from an inside source has confirmed @wyclef has been hospitalized due to Stress and Fatigue”, HipHollywood did a little digging to find out the exact reason for Wyclef’s hospitalization. Apparently, the overwhelming stress of his Haitian presidency “adventure” has taken a serious toll on his health. Our friends over at Haitianbeats.com revealed to us that he was rushed to a hospital in New Jersey yesterday evening, where he checked himself in. Since returning from Haiti, he’s been having severe headaches and the pain became unbearable. More details on the flipside.
Sources close to Wyclef told Haitianbeats.com “Since getting back from Haiti, he’s been following a very heavy schedule that has taken him to Europe twice, along with Asia and Africa. At the same time, he’s working to finish his upcoming album and he’s been meeting with several people during the General Assembly Session at the UN. He was supposed to meet with the President of Suriname, his excellency Mr. Ronald Venetiaan, but had to cancel at the last minute by calling the President while he was in the emergency room.”
