Kanye West Apparently Pays Highest Monthly Child Support in U.S. History

Kanye West is reportedly paying over $200,000 a month in child support to Kim Kardashian following their divorce, making it one of the largest support payments in American history. The former couple shares four children, and West’s payment exceeds other recent high-profile celebrity support amounts.  Using Alex Rodriguez and Cynthia Scurtis as an example, the former baseball player had to pay $115,000 per month. Meanwhile, Kelly Clarkson reached an agreement to pay her ex, Brandon Blackstock, $45,600 a month after being ordered to do so in child support. Rapper Nas also paid singer Kelis $44,000 in child support and alimony.

At the same time, Nick Cannon — who shares 12 kids with four women — has previously revealed that he shells out around $3 million a year in child support, or about $250,000 per month across all kids. However, West’s alleged single-payment arrangement still stands out due to its size.

Despite an amicable divorce and joint custody agreement, West has made inflammatory statements online about Kardashian, leading to speculation about their post-divorce relationship. Kardashian has not publicly responded to West’s remarks but remains focused on her children and business ventures.
