EVANSVILLE, Ind. — Police say an Evansville man is now facing charges, after he hit another man and made various threats…including to celebrities like Michael Jordan.

WEHT reports that officers arrested Marcus Williams at a home Thursday, after learning that he had hit another man in the head with a chair. Williams may have also screamed phrases like “off with your head.”

When police finally got their suspect in handcuffs, they say he threatened to kill them and their families.

He apparently went on to say that he was God, and that he would kill his own family members, as well as “Michael Jordan, BeyoncĂ©, and everyone else.”

Police note that Williams was drunk at the time, which may have contributed to his belief that he could “bench press the world” and drop it on an officer’s head.

They later learned that he is a registered sex offender, and had previously been convicted of crimes including battery. The man is now being held without bond at the Vanderburgh County Jail.
