Many folks in the blogosphere believe these pictures are fake – but they were posted on the rapper’s official Web site, Facebook and Twitter pages to show the amount of weight he has lost in preparation for his next role as a cancer-stricken football player in “Things Fall Apart,” due in theaters next year.
The artist is shown with sunken cheeks and a gaunt frame – the result of a liquid diet and strict exercise regimen that has helped him go from 214 to 160 in just over two months.
The 34-year-old rapper recently removed his tattoos so that Hollywood would take his transition to acting more seriously.
In addition to “Things Fall Apart,” the rapper is costarring with Chace Crawford in the drama “Twelve” and will be kicking off his U.S. tour Friday in Cleveland.
