This is what they probably meant by keep your friends close — and your enemies closer

According to the Live Feed, Oprah’ssit down with Sarah Palin on Monday earned an impressive 8.7 rating, making it ‘The Oprah Winfrey Show”s highest-rated show in two years. That tops a 2007 interview, in which Oprah interviewed the entire Osmond family.

Palin — who appeared on the show to promote her new memoir ‘Going Rogue: An American Life’ — even ousted the much-touted, two-part season premiere interview with Whitney Houston.

The high viewership was likely fueled by speculation that Oprah had initially snubbed Palin from appearing on her show, a claim that was swiftly denied by both women on Monday’s broadcast. That it was Palin’s first interview about her memoir probably didn’t hurt, either.

Although the interview started with a hug, it ended with a jab from Oprah, who candidly asked Palin whether she had any plans to star in her own talk show.

“Oprah you are the queen of talk shows. You have nothing to worry about,” she said.

But based on Monday’s ratings, Palin might want to reconsider
