Jive Records is trying to make the new Usher CD a stocking stuffer for the holiday season.
The label has announced that “Raymond V. Raymond” will be released on Dec. 21, according to Billboard.com.
The set is led by current single, “Papers,” which is No. 2 this week on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and No. 32 on the Hot 100.
Usher’s last album, 2008’s “Here I Stand,” has sold 1.2 million units, according to Nielsen SoundScan. His biggest-selling album to date is 2004’s “Confessions,” which stands at 9.7 million units.
