Pig ear dog treats are being recalled across the country over fears they may be linked to a salmonella outbreak. The FDA and CDC are working to find the source of the outbreak that has infected 45 people in 13 states. The CDC says those who have been sickened may have had contact with pig ear dog treats sold by Pet Supplies Plus, though that hasn’t been confirmed. However, some of the pig ear products at a Michigan store tested positive for salmonella. The dog treats were distributed to more than 30 states.
