Several Democrats are calling on lawmakers to start impeachment proceedings against President Trump. Thursday, Democratic Representatives Rashida Tlaib and Al Green delivered a petition with 10-million signatures to Congress, pushing for the impeachment process to start. Other liberal groups, including Need to Impeach which is backed by billionaire Democratic activist Tom Steyer, were in attendance. Tlaib said impeaching Trump would fulfill Congress’s constitutional responsibilities. She noted that the health of democracy is at stake under the current administration and impeaching Trump is the right thing to do for the country.
