Mariah Carey received the Icon Award at this year’s Billboard Music Awards in true diva fashion.
Carey also took the stage and performed a medley of her hits like “Hero,” “Always Be My Baby,” We Belong Together,” “Emotions,” and more.
When accepting her award Mariah said, “to anyone who has told me that a song I wrote helped save your life, I thank you, because you saved mine and I’ll be eternally grateful for that.”
