Several residents in Chanhassen, Minnesota are against a proposal to turn land owned by the late musician Prince into a housing development.  The town council chambers saw around 200 people Tuesday night, many expressing opposition to developer Lennar’s plan.  Tia Burton, a friend of Prince and former employee, said he wouldn’t have wanted to see around 180 houses go up on his beloved little piece of Minnesota.  Critics also say the development would destroy most of the trees on the property and damage wetlands.  The council votes next week on a new version of the developer’s plan which makes an effort to preserve more trees.
