Drake is a very powerful man…in Toronto. After Sunday night’s Grammy acceptance speech the 6 God ran backstage to continue what he wasn’t able to say on the stage.
“I wanna say, the Mayor of Toronto needs to turn the CN Tower gold tomorrow,” Drake requested that the CN Tower be gold and chrome in honor of his fourth Grammy win, but Toronto mayor John Toy took it a step further by also turning the Toronto sign outside of city hall gold.
Tory tweeted out congratulations to Drake, “Hey @Drake congrats on the #Grammys win. The Toronto sign will be gold tonight to celebrate. We’re sure that with the kind of pull Drake has he could get anything done in Canada….hmmm let’s just think about this a bit.
