New York’s historic Apollo Theatre, which has helped launch hundreds of careers is celebrated it’s 85th Anniversary over the weekend. The Harlem landmark will celebrate by bringing the arts to younger audiences. That includes an interactive family show detailing the ins and outs of the ballet world. The upcoming season also features a contemporary African music concert series. The iconic Amateur Night is back. The live showcase where new talent tries their luck at impressing the Harlem crowd will be held weekly.
