In “what were they thinking news” Forever 21 featured a blond-haired white model to feature in their Black Panther merchandise. The white male, which is described on the page as “6’1″ and sports a medium fit,” which suggests they didn’t make a mistake in casting the model.
TMZ reached out to Forever 21 about the image and the retailer responded saying, “Forever 21 takes feedback on our products and marketing extremely seriously. We celebrate all superheroes with many different models of various ethnicities and apologize if the photo in question was offensive in any way.”
The image was later replaced with a picture of the sweater by itself.
