President Trump’s former lawyer Michael Cohen will be spending the next three years in federal prison for tax and campaign finance violations. Judge William Pauley told Cohen the crimes were a serious offense against the country before handing down the sentence. Cohen told the judge his loyalty to Trump led him to cover for Trump and his dirty deeds. Not only did he plead guilty to tax and campaign finance violations, he also admitted to lying to Congress about plans to build a Trump Tower in Moscow. Cohen was ordered to forfeit 500-thousand dollars and will pay more than one million dollars in restitution. He was also hit with a 50-thousand dollar fine. Cohen is ordered to report to a federal prison on March 6.
