Two Pacific Northwest states are spending the most on candy for trick-or-treaters.  Research from the people behind the Ibotta retail tracking app says  Oregon, Washington, New Jersey, and California are the states that buy the most Halloween candy, in that order.  Oregon residents spend an average of 40 dollars on candy the week before Halloween.  Ohio, Georgia, Michigan, Alabama, and Colorado were the worst for festive spirit, with Ohio residents only spending an average of eleven dollars.  The data says the best candy deals are four days before Halloween, and prices rise significantly the day before.
