Is this is the last weekend we’ll get to experience 80 degree weather?  I don’t know, so I say get out there while the sun is still shining and the temps are in the 80’s.  There’s plenty of things going on this weekend for both the kiddo’s and the grown folks.  Whether you’re trying to get a health check-up, adopt a pet, or experience different cultures, it’s all going on in and around your city; check out some of the events below.

  • The Indiana Latino Expo is going on at the State Fairgrounds until 6pm today.  Get an experience of the culture through food, shopping, plus vendors are there to help with issues going on in the Latino community.  Get more details at indianalatinoexpo.org/
  • The Eskenazi Community Health Fair is today and kicked off at 10am.  Three of the Health centers have  joined together today to provide health screenings, flu shots, help with insurance and more at the Eskenazi Health Center at 2505 N Arlington.  WTLC will be out there starting at 10am with prizes and more.  Get additional information online at eskenazihealthercenter.edu
  • The Fall Harvest Festival is still going strong at Waterman’s Family Farm.  Hayrides to the pumpkin patch, mazes, food and more.  Bring the entire family out for a day on the farm.  For details and times go to watermansfamilyfarm.com/
  • Bring the family to Family Fun Days at Beasley’s Orchard in Danville.  Corn maze, hayrides, barnyard bonanza, apple cannons, U-pick apples, and more as the 31st Annual Heartland Apple Festival is at Beasley’s Orchard as well.  Get the scoop on both at beasleys-orchard.com
  • Stoneycreek Farm is back with the 45th Annual Pumpkin Harvest Festival.  Hayrides, food, rubber ducky races, zipline, haunted house, pumpkin train, farm animals, and more. Activities are pay as you go so get more information online at stonycreekfarm.net
  • It’s the 9th Annual GermanFest at the Indianapolis Athenaeum.  This is only a one day festival to help you discover your inner German while getting your party on. For ticket prices go to athenaeumfoundation.org/?event=germanfest
  • Looking for a new family member?  The Indianapolis Mega Adoption Event is back at the State Fairgrounds starting at 12noon today.  Over 1,000 dogs and cats will be available for adoption at the low price of $30.  Information available at indymegaadoptionevent.org/
