Indianapolis is ranked #2 for jobs in 2017 according to Glassdoor’s Best Cities for jobs. Glassdoor’s Best Cities for Jobs found that Indy came in second only to Pittsburgh in the study for 2017. The rankings were based on three different criteria, hiring opportunity, cost of living, and job satisfation. The study shows over 80,000 open jobs with a median salary of $43,000. Indianapolis employees rated their job satisfaction level at a 3.3 out of 5. Other citites that rank in the top 10 of the study were Kansas City, Raleigh, St. Louis, Memphis, Columbus, Cincinnati, Cleveland, and Louisville.

The Riley Children’s Health Sports Legends Experience at The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis opens in spring 2018. With the opening Children will have a chance to learn the accomplishments of 15 athletes and coaches with Indiana ties. The legends will be immortalized in bronze. Children will get an opportunity to snap a photo with these life-sized sculptures of sports legends like Larry Bird, Wilma Rudolph DaMarcus Beasley, Tamika Catchings, Hank Aaron, Peanut Johnson, Toni Stone, Pete and Alice Dye, A.J. Foyt, Wayne Gretzky, Bobby “Slick” Leonard, Reggie Miller, Oscar Robertson, Reggie Wayne and Barbara Wynne. The sculptures will be placed along the 7.5 acre Old National Bank Sports Legends Avenue of Champions.
