20 YEARS THIS WEEK CHRISTOPHER WALLACE AKA NOTORIOUS B.I.G SINGLE “NOTORIOUS” WENT NUMBER #1 ON BILLBOARD HOT 100.  Biggie stayed in California for a month to promote his upcoming album Life After Death and shoot a video for the song. During the East Coast and West Coast rivalry. Life After Death album came out March 25, 1997.

The success of “Hypnotize” made Biggie one of few artists to top the Hot 100 after their death. Biggie would soon top the chart again with Life After Death’s second single, “Mo Money, Mo Problems,” making Biggie one of the few artists in Billboard history to achieve two posthumous No. 1 hits.
