The annual Mozel Sanders Radiothon is happening today at Lafayette Square and Circle Centre Mall. Make a donation to help feed more than 35,000 people during the holidays.
In 2013, more than 2,000 volunteers served more than 40,000 meals from 45 locations. In 2013, the average cost per meal was $4.50. A contribution of $500 will feed 111 individuals; $1,000 will feed 222 individuals; $2,000 will feed 444 individuals; and $5,000 will feed 1,111 individuals. In 2013, the donations helped to purchase 15,000 pounds of turkey, 10,000 pounds of dressing, 2,000 cans of green beans, 1,200 gallons of gravy, 10,000 pounds of apple crisp, 80,000 dinner rolls and much more.
