Indianapolis Metro Police detectives are asking for your help to solve two gas station robberies that happened overnight into Tuesday morning. The first just before 1:30 a.m. at 30th Street and North Illinois Street at the Shell Gas Station. Two men successfully robbed the gas station by forcing open the locked door to the bulletproof glass-encased cashier’s area. One of the suspects then struck the clerk in the head with a silver gun and both took the money from the register. The same duo then entered another gas station, this time, a Conoco, just after 2 a.m. located in the 4100 block of East 16th Street. In this robbery attempt, they were unsuccessful at gaining entry to the cashier’s cage area to access the cash and fired a shot at the bulletproof glass that protected the clerk. The same two suspects in both robberies entered the gas stations wearing masks and are believed to be in their late teens or early 20’s. (The suspects full descriptions are below.) They fled on-foot in each case. Police ask if you have any info on this case to call Crime Stoppers at 317-262-TIPS (8477).

Here are full descriptions and photos of these robbery suspects:

Suspect #1: Black Male late teens or early 20’s, red IU sweatshirt over grey hoodie, dark sweat pants yellow bandana, silver handgun,

Suspect #2: Black male late teens  or early 20’s, grey zip up hoodie with dark pull strings, orange full face neoprene “hunting style” mask, dark sweat pants, black tennis shoes with white and black markings and neon yellow soles (possibly PUMA), armed with black handgun.
