Good day to you…

The state of Indiana may force Carrier to repay $200,000 in job training grants as the company moves its plant to Mexico. But there are also questions about millions of dollars in federal help that the company may have to pay back before they exit the country. The Obama administration gave Carrier $5 million in clean energy money in 2013. At the time, Carrier said the money was instrumental in helping spur production at the Indianapolis factory. Carrier now disputes taking the money. They say they didn’t take it, though they say they did look at some other government grants and programs. Union leaders are hoping to convince Carrier to stay in in the city at a meeting this morning.  United Steelworkers Local 1999 leaders are meeting with company executives today because they want to know why Carrier is planning to move. Fourteen-hundred workers stand to lose their jobs.

The Indiana State Police is launching a new program to keep kids safe from being victimized when they’re online.  The Indiana Crimes Against Children Task Force was announced Monday.  It’s being funded by a grant from the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute.  As part of the program, three specially trained educators will talk to children aged eight to 18 about what to look out for and help them understand how not to become a victim.

Parents at Park Tudor are angry the school was going to let former basketball coach Kyle Cox walk away, and possibly get a new job. Cox is facing charges for getting a 15-year-old to send him naked pictures. But his agreement with the school would only say that he ‘resigned.’ Parents say Cox should’ve been kept out of any school for what he did to the young, female student.

A family of five is safe this Tuesday morning, but their home and all that was in it is gone. Indianapolis fire crews fought the blaze in the 5100 block of Cedar Mill Lane late Monday night. Everyone made it out alright, including the family’s two dogs who are also okay. But investigators say the house and two cars in the driveway are a total loss.

The White House is staying tight lipped about who President Obama might nominate to replace the late U.S. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia. Spokesman Eric Schultz says it could be someone similar to the two justices who have been confirmed during Obama’s tenure. He says Obama will not rush into naming a nominee.

Taylor Swift is the big winner following Monday night’s Grammy Awards, and used her acceptance speech to subtly call out Kanye West. After winning Album of the Year for “1989,” the pop star gave a message to young women about those who try to take credit for the success of others. It was an indirect response to Kanye’s comments last week about making her famous.  Other highlights included Kendrick Lamar bringing the house down with a performance of his hits “The Blacker The Berry” and “Alright” and a historic performance for the award’s broadcast. The cast of “Hamilton” performed live from a Broadway stage in New York.

Indianapolis Weather: Icy this morning. Mostly cloudy during the afternoon with only peeks of sunshine. Today’s High: 37 degrees.
