The fallout continues for Bill Cosby as newly released court documents show him admitting he bought drugs to give women for sex. In 2005, Cosby answered “yes” when asked if he intended to use Quaaludes for young women to have sex with him. The testimony stems from a case involving a former Temple University employee that was settled in 2006. With dozens of women accusing Cosby of sexual assault over the past year, Jan Langbein of the Genesis Women’s Shelter questions why society has given him a pass. She says people wouldn’t treat a predator on the street with the same leniency. Cosby’s lawyers have adamantly denied the accusations.
Those who are no longer “giving him a pass” according to Variety is Bounce TV. The magazine is reporting that the black-owned television network, owned in part by Martin L. King III and former Ambassador Andrew Young, has pulled reruns of the comedian’s TV show. Meanwhile, BET-owned network Centric has pulled episodes of “The Cosby Show” until further notice.

Singer Jill Scott has pulled her support from Cosby in light of the new revelations. Director Judd Apatow called it a sad situation and expressed his hope that people will now stand behind the victims.
