Families in a northern Indianapolis suburb want to know what caused the stage at Westfield High School to collapse beneath their children. More than a dozen people fell through the stage and down into the orchestra pit during the finale Thursday night of the musical “American Pie.” Video of the incident, that you can see posted below, shows the students dancing and clapping while performing Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin” then falling through. At least one person was initially reported in critical condition with a head injury however we’re learning that the student is not critical but is still hospitalized. Students were treated at St. Vincent Hospital-Carmel. School has opened as normal on Friday morning. Check out the video from the collapse:
