A proposal that would give Angie’s List $18.5 million of your city tax dollars to support their business’ expansion is moving forward. The City-County Council’s economic development committee voted Monday in favor of passing the proposal on to the full council. The web-based consumer review business wants to renovate the old Ford factory and to build a parking garage next to it in their effort to expand their east side headquarters. Angie’s List says the expansion will create 1,000 new jobs. The Indianapolis Star reports the company has been around for 20 years and has never posted an annual profit.
