Shaft's Big Score!

New Line Cinema is looking to give “Shaft” a do-over. The studio is reportedly developing a reboot of Gordon Parks’ 1971 detective drama, which starred Richard Roundtree. It would be the second “Shaft” reboot following the John Singleton’s Paramount retake, starring Samuel L. Jackson as the street savvy private eye. According to “The Wrap,” the new project is in the very early stages of development. So far there’s no word on who might play detective John Shaft in the next go-around.
