Originally from Memphis, Allstate’s Kristy Kalango is in her third year of the Leadership Development program at Allstate and works on all multicultural marketing focusing on African-American programming.

Kalango is an alumni of Howard University. She graduated in 2012 with a degree in business and marketing. She says she attended Howard because she wanted the HBCU experience.

“The HBCU experience is so rewarding. The relationships that we have with our professors, the school that allows us to speak on what’s going on in our communities while learning from some of the best professors out there. I wouldn’t change it for the world.

Kalango wants others to join Allstate in the HBC’I Owe You” Quotes for Education program.  For every quote received, Allstate will donate $10 to your HBCU of choice via the Tom Joyner Foundation.

She talks to the Tom Joyner Morning Show about her experience attending Howard University and Allstate’s Quotes For Education competition.
