jack-cottey-picThe former long-time sheriff of Marion County has died.  Former Marion County Sheriff Jack Cottey passed away Tuesday at the age of 75.  Cottey was sheriff of Indiana’s most populated county from 1994 to 2002 and served more than a decade in the Indiana House of Representatives.  The Martin University alum is credited with leading the way for dozens of public safety laws and establishing several crime-fighting programs that are nationally recognized.
