The fallout from Sara Stokes‘ recent domestic violence arrest continues to get worse. Stokes’ husband, Tony, filed for divorce just two days after Sara’s arrest.
Emanuiel “Tony” Stokes filed to end his 18-year marriage in St. Clair, Michigan. According to the documents, Tony Stokes cited “the objects of matrimony have been destroyed” as reason for the dissolution of the union.

The “Making the Band” alum and her husband have long had a tumultuous relationship. Sara was arrested for stabbing Tony in 2009 and her recent arrest stemmed from the couple physically fighting in front of their home. Sara Stokes’ most recent arrest for domestic violence also landed her 93 days behind bars for probation violation which stems from an earlier domestic violence charge.
Hopefully, seeing Tony leave an abusive marriage will allow other men to find the courage to walk away from their abusive marriages.
