DJ and producer Kid Capri is giving battle rappers a platform to show off their art. Kid Capri has announced plans to release his upcoming battle rap album, “Top Tier.” According to XXLMag.com, the album will feature the emcees that recently took part in the rap battle event, “Total Slaughter.” Kid Capri will produce that album himself. He says that he hopes the album will “push battle rap along,” adding that the art of battle rapping is “single handedly holding up hip-hop.” If the album finds success, Kid Capri hints that the artists involved could hit the road for a world tour.
Kid Capri will be hosting this years’ All White Affair with special guests Troop at the Sagamore Ballroom after the IBE Heritage Festival 2 Concert with Anthony Hamilton, Chrisette Michele and Indy’s own Babyface July 19th.
