First-time claims for unemployment benefits are up. The U.S. Labor Department released a report on Thursday morning that shows 329-thousand Americans filing for jobless benefits. That’s up 24-thousand from the previous week. The biggest jumps for claims were in California, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Texas, and right here in Indiana. The steepest declines were in Oregon, Georgia, Ohio, Massachusetts, and Illinois.
