US Blaze

Three children are dead after a horrific house fire in Hammond, Indiana. Deputy Fire Chief Kevin Margraf says two other children and their father survived Wednesday night’s blaze. However, due to the man’s injuries officials have not immediately able to confirm whether the three children killed in the fire were also part of the same family. The children were said to range in age from six months to four years. Despite his third-degree burns, the man managed to leave the home with two of the children. They were ages three and six. Hammond is in the northwest part of the state in Lake County.
