Last night’s episode of “Saturday Night Live” poked fun at all the headline-making events involving President Obama from Nelson Mandela’s memorial service.

The show’s opening skit featured a speech by the POTUS, play by comedian Jay Pharaoh. “I feel like Lemony Snicket,” he said, “because I experienced a series of unfortunate events.” There was the a “selfie-gate” scandal with the Danish prime minister, getting caught shaking hands with Raul Castro, and of course, the now-infamous Thamsanqa Jantjie, the phony sign language guy.

Jantjie “clearly had no idea what he was doing,” Pharoah’s Obama said. As he spoke, Kenan Thompson appeared behind the podium mimicking his words.

“We have our best people working on it,” “Obama” said as Thompson did his best impersonation of the fake South African interpreter.

The real Jantjie claimed he hallucinated and saw visions of angels during the memorial service, which caused him to have an off day. (Yeah, okay!)
