Don’t keep it to yourself – The days or weeks following a breakup can be very awful. It is usually beneficial to share your thoughts with someone you trust.

Cry – Going through a breakup can be tough.  Don’t disregard your feelings. Instead, allow the tears flow. But then it’s time to move on.

Stay healthy – When you’re hurting, it’s easy stay in bed all day long. You may not want to eat, too. But doing these won’t help you feel any better. Your heart may be broken, but don’t allow the rest of your body get damaged, too. This is a time to take care of you.

Keep yourself busy – Staying busy will let you cope.  Try new things.

Get rid of things that set off memories – This is a great time for a new start.
