The first step for getting troubled relationships back on track is opening the lines of communication.  Find a good time  you both can talk – no cell phone etc.  Talk about the significance of the relationship, Come up with and game plan. (Remember you’re a team) Write it down.  Depending on the circumstances that initially strained the relationship, the other party may offer terms of engagement. If the terms are good then suggest going to counseling to improve the relationship and prevent future trouble. If the other party does not accept, and is not willing to work as hard as you to make it work. THEN IT’S TIME TO MOVE ON.
