What a beautiful day!!  This is “fair” weather, get it??  Not only is the weather better than yesterday because the sun is shining, but there’s still tons of things for the family to do before school starts tomorrow.  Check out some of the events below:

  • It’s the 157th running of the Indiana State Fair at the State Fairgrounds.  Its going on now through Aug. 18th with hours and activities varying.  One of the great activities they have this year is the Sinbad High Dive Show, the Rosstyn Ice Show and today only check out Lucas Oil Indy Super Pull at the Hoosier Lottery Grandstand.  Tickets for this event are sold separately; see their website for more information http://www.in.gov/statefair/fair/index.html
  • While traveling to the Indiana State Fair, save some gas and catch a ride on the WFMS Fair Train Ride.  The ride is available now until the end of the State Fair, Aug 18th with nine departures daily from Fishers.  For more information contact them at 317.773.6000 or check out their website at http://www.itm.org/Fairtrain.php
  • Your Indianapolis Colts are back and training at Anderson University.  The camp is open until 5pm and while you’re their experience Colts City.  See http://www.colts.com/fanzone/events/coltscity.html
  • If you want to take it easy but still enjoy the outdoors; take a ride on a horse-drawn carriage around downtown Indy.  Check out Blue Ribbon Carriage Tours at http://www.blueribboncarriages.com/ or Yellow Rose Carriage Tours at http://www.indycarriage.com/
  • Jazz in the Park Summer Music Series continues today at Watkins Park tonite at 5pm.  This is a free event so bring your chairs and your coolers and enjoy the live music performance by Music Box.  See http://www.indy.gov/concerts
  • It’s officially here, the Ultimate Dodgeball Championship is going on at Sky Zone Park which is a national tournament.  Ages are 16+ and only $50 per team plus tax.  For more information contact them at 317.268.3200 or via internet at http://www.udodgeball.com/.  Let the games begin!!
