Cab Company Offers $5K Reward For Armed Cab Robbers

Police are searching for two men who robbed an Indianapolis cab driver at gunpoint Sunday night.

Security footage from inside the cab shows one of the suspects holding a silver semi-automatic handgun to the driver’s neck.

The robbery occurred at 10:30 p.m. in the 1200 block of North Pershing Avenue on the city’s west side.

Yellow Cab is offering a $5,000 reward for the capture of the two men.

Man Found Shot Dead In Car 

Police are investigating after a man was found dead in a car Saturday night.

When IMPD officers arrived, to the 5500 block of Portsmouth Avenue, they found 25-year-old Lamont Turner seated in the vehicle suffering from at least one gunshot wound.

Turner was pronounced dead on the scene.

Detectives asked that anyone who may have seen or heard anything between the hours of midnight and 5 a.m. near the area to call Crime Stoppers at 262-TIPS

 

1 of 3 Campers Struck By Lightening, Home From Hospital

One of three campers injured when lightning struck a camp on the city’s northwest side was released from the hospital yesterday and is home with his family.

The camper as injured Saturday when lightning struck, without warning, at a camp in the 9300 block of Moore Road.

Camp counselors immediately started life-saving measures before the three injured campers were taken to area hospitals.

There was no word on the condition of the other two campers.
