WANTED: Man In Rape of 12-Year-Old Girl

Police were searching for an unidentified male who is wanted on rape, child molestation and criminal confinement charges. The suspect forced a 12-year-old victim into a secluded area of an alley and sexually assaulted her as she was walking in the 3100 block of Dr. Andrew J. Brown Avenue, The suspect was described as a tall black male, in his late teens or early 20s, with a shaved head and a thin build.

Woman Banned From Owning Animals For Life

A Muncie woman who put a live puppy out with her trash has been banned from owning any animals ever again.

36 year old Shemika Robinson, was convicted of animal cruelty for throwing the 6-week-old puppy in the trash back in February. Robinson will serve 180 days in jail, and she’ll be required to complete 50 hours of community service at the Muncie Animal Shelter upon her release.


Governor Pence Defends Deleting Pro-Gay Marriage Comments 

Indiana Gov. Mike Pence is defending his staff’s decision to delete pro-gay marriage comments from his Facebook page that he says included personal attacks.

A handful of gay marriage supporters had their comments struck from the governor’s Facebook page Wednesday and were blocked on Twitter. The comments were deleted shortly after the Republican governor said he would support adding Indiana’s gay marriage ban into the state constitution. Pence said Thursday that his social media policy allows for differing opinions without personal attacks.
