Board members of the Indianapolis Public School system voted to cut more than 100 jobs from the district last night.

Most of the jobs impacted were administrative positions, but board members said about 30 middle school and high school positions will be affected.

The board said the cuts were necessary to save IPS $10 million.

Board members narrowed their search down to three superintendent candidates Tuesday afternoon. They were expected to name a successor to Eugene White as early as Saturday.
