The overnight snowstorm that left 7.2 inches of snow in that city and set a new weather record for the date.
National Weather Service meteorologist Mike Ryan said the total snowfall from Sunday was the most that has fallen in the city since 1912, when the state capital got 5.8 inches. The weather agency hasn’t been able to find a greater total than the 7.2 inches for Sunday and Monday morning.
