It was a very short jail stint for singer Bobby Brown, who turned himself in yesterday to begin serving a 55-day jail term following a drunk driving conviction. Due to overcrowding at the Los Angeles County Jail, he wasn’t expected to serve more than nine days behind bars. But, TMZ is reporting Brown actually served far less. He was released last night. The New Edition member must still complete an 18-month alcohol-treatment program.

Brown was sentenced for a drunk driving incident in the San Fernando Valley in March of last year. Seven months later, Brown was caught driving drunk and with a suspended license, which ultimately led to the 55-day jail term.
