Lawrence Central High School was evacuated Wednesday as fire crews investigated a report of pepper spray being discharged.
Six students were treated in the east side parking lot of the school for asthma symptoms. They were taken to Community North Hospital to be checked out.
According to school officials, there were two separate altercations between students when the chemical was released. At this point it isn’t known who discharged the pepper spray.
School dismissed at the normal time.
