Antonio Wheeler who goes by the name “Skii Bo Ski” was arrested for allegedly robbing a couple at gunpoint in a Target parking lot in Florida.

Wheeler was on the ninth season of “American Idol” back in 2010.

The Daytona Beach News Journal Reports:

A man who sang his way onto television’s “American Idol” and even ended up going to Hollywood Week for the show is on the run after police said he robbed a couple at gunpoint.

Antonio Wheeler — who called himself “Skii Bo Ski” on the singing talent show’s ninth season in 2010 when he belted out “I Heard It Though the Grapevine” — was not singing when he demanded money from Palm Coast couple Fletcher Carroll and Heather Creary on Saturday, Daytona Beach police said.

The 25-year-old Wheeler, according to police, sold the pair fake computers in the parking lot of the Target store on West International Speedway Boulevard, but the transaction was completed only when police said Wheeler lifted his shirt and showed Carroll his weapon.

The pair tried to follow Wheeler, but lost him and called police. Investigators were able to garner a partial fingerprint from the fake items and they saw it belonged to Wheeler, a report shows.

Wheeler of Orlando is now wanted on a warrant charging armed robbery.

State records show Wheeler has been arrested at least 25 times, starting when he was only 11 in 1998 on a petty theft charge. His most recent arrest was Oct. 15 on a theft charge filed by the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.

In 2005, an Orlando police officer stunned him with a Taser after police said Wheeler swallowed crack cocaine, then refused to provide a urine sample. Wheeler later sued Orlando police and the city, and claimed the officer “tased the (urine) out of me,” an article in USA Today says.
