Funeral services will be held Monday for an elementary school teacher and her husband killed in an explosion at a Far Southside subdivision.
The funeral for Jennifer Longworth, 36, and John “Dion” Longworth, 34, will be at 10 a.m. at St. Barnabas Catholic Church, where they were married. Calling will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Wilson-St Pierre Funeral Home in Greenwood.
The Longworths were the only ones to die in the massive blast Saturday night in the Richmond Hill subdivision that damaged about 80 homes. The cause of the explosion remains under investigation.
Jennifer Longworth taught second grade at Southwest Elementary School in Greenwood and was a Ball State University graduate. John Longworth worked at Indy Audio Labs and graduated from IUPUI.
