Nick Cannon is fighting his way back to good health.

A little more than a month after being hospitalized for kidney disease and lupus, the multitasking entertainer has unveiled the first episode in a Web series devoted to chronicling his health battle.

Here’s what we learned.

Get the latest Flash player..Called the NCredible Health Hustle, Cannon talks about the struggles he has been facing with his ailment and how these videos posted at are his way to thank fans who’ve sent him get-well wishes that have inspired him “to keep pushing.”

“Damn. How did I get here? I mean, just a few days ago I was with my family in the snow, playing, having a good time,” wonders Nick over images of himself, wife Mariah Carey and their twins out sledding in a winter wonderland. “All of a sudden I start swelling up, having shortness of breath, excruciating pain in my right side and I wake up in the hospital with a bunch of doctors telling me I got kidney failure.”

What follows is a montage of various images of Cannon—being treated by physicians, boxing, working out, recording and generally getting his health back.

“This is my journey, the ups, the downs. It’s raw, it’s personal. My setbacks and my triumphs. My pain, my grind, my life. This is my NCredible Health Hustle,” he intones in the intro.

Day 1 starts with the America’s Got Talent judge interviewed in his hospital room talking about his recovery from kidney failure, his “renal diet,” and the symptoms of his illness and how he’s been dealing with it. His grandfather also makes a humorous cameo lending spiritual and moral support.

The four-minute segment ends with a preview of the next episode showing Cannon undergoing a rigorous workout regimen and getting back into the studio.
